Zach Smilovitz is an Emmy-nominated, WGA Award-winning writer, producer, and performer. He is the Co-Creator and Head Writer of Stephen Colbert Presents Tooning Out the News on Comedy Central. Previously, he was a Supervising Producer on Our Cartoon President on Showtime.
He began his career as a staff writer at Late Show with David Letterman before writing for Robert Smigel on Triumph’s Election Special 2016 on Hulu. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Alysha Glenn, and their daughter, Izzy.
